Book Series Finales: Which book, from any series has been your favorite ending? What about your least favorite ending?
The Good…
The Hunger Games. I know I am in the minority. It might not have been the ending I would have written, but I think Collins’ was true to the story. It encompassed the tragedy, sadness and then in the end gave us a little hope and a new beginning.
Harry Potter. Epic battle. Friendships. Love. And Longbottom gets all rowdy.
The Summer I Turned Pretty. I was scared to start the final book. I was worried about all the carnage. But it turned out perfect.
The Bad…
Nightshade. I so loved the first. The second placated me with the addition of Connor. But the last left me behind.

I loved The Hunger Games ending, I thought it was very realistic and well thought out. Harry Potter is my choice as well.
How could I forget Nightshade?! UGH. The last book I was mad the entire time I read it. Always one page from stopping but I was hoping things would turn around.

Interesting choices! I had 2 of each – my ‘good’ included HP but my ‘bad’ included THG. I can see why people like it but just… noooo!
Mine are at YA Yeah Yeah if you’d like to take a look.
I loved The HUnger Game series too – from beginning to end!

Yeah, I completely agree with you about Mockingjay. It’s not that I enjoyed watching them all suffer endlessly but what else should have happened? It’s war after all? ANd they are all kids. But you are right we are in a minority with this opinion. And yeah for Harry Potter too. Deadly Hallows was epic, I was positively surprised.
