Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge (26)

Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Tara @ 25 Hour Books and Amanda @ On A Book Bender share a little more about their week than the books they received.

bookgoonie Recap

bookgoonie’s World

  • Nothing exciting. Just working out, eating well, working on advocate defense and reading.

bookgoonie Reads

  • Finished Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I just LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book. I can’t wait to find time to continue it.
  • Finished Connections by Selena Kitt. Meh.
  • Finished A Perfect Blood (The Hollows #10) by Kim Harrison. It was one of my favorite in the series, despite its lack of sexy times.
  • Currently reading Replication by Jill Williamson. It’s got a scientific cloning-ethics-religion thing going on. Pretty good so far.
  • Doin’ It Dirty Read-a-thon Reads:

Around the Book Blogging Community

  • Rhiannon Frater chimed in on Authors Behaving Badly. I’ve tried to stay out of the suck zone, but she did a great job.
  • Lena @ Addicted 2 Novels confessed what she felt was owed to authors and publishers. She hit it on the head.
  • Huffington Post talks about the effects of The 50 Shades of Grey. They are talking about smutting up some of the classics. How do you feel about that?
  • John Green does a great vlog, “Hitler & Sex.” It is inspired by what people want to watch on TV. Made me laugh.

  1. I’m afraid to say that the suck zone is just getting bigger and bigger. Maybe it’s just that with summer around, there’s not as much to keep everyone busy, so they have to seek out other entertainment aka drama.

  2. Are you kidding me with smutting up classics? Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez. Lame. O.

And yay for A Perfect Blood, of which I still haven’t read…lol :/

    • Crazy. It’s all about money. Sad thing is they are probably right…there is a market for it, but that doesn’t mean it should be done.

A Perfect Blood. Listened to the audio. Very nice developments with Trent, but Al was too absent for me liking.
