Book Olympics: Which books would you give the gold, silver and bronze medals to?

The method to my madness: 1) I’m picking from books that I’ve read this year. I had to narrow my selection, otherwise my brain would explode. 2) I’m picking books with a message. The Olympics are about struggles and perseverance, so the book should be uplifting. Plus I’ve read so many AWESOME books this year, I needed more help with narrowing my choices. Without further delay:

The Gold Medal goes to…The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I think this choice is pretty self explanatory. Beautiful. *tears*
The Silver Medal goes to…Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally. It has a cast of amazing people. It is about dreams and what it takes to achieve them.

The Bronze Medal goes to…Five Flavors of Dumb by Antony John. It is about not hiding, showing people what you CAN do, and the power of music.

I figured Catching Jordan would be in there
Ya. Of course, more recent books get more love. My Alzheimer’s mind ;D
Ooh haven’t heard of Five Flavors of Dumb!
Great contemporary read. It has more depth that I anticipated.
I haven’t read any of the books you chose, but I do own two of them (TFIOS and Catching Jordan). I should definitely read them soon!
You will love them both. ;D they are up your Contemporary Alley
I need to read a John Green book, or 9. I don’t wanna cry.
Bad girl
