August Favorite Read
This is hard as usual. I really loved meeting Charley Davidson and hanging out with Georgina Kincaid. But the real surprise or treasure was Seraphina. It was magical and swept me away to the land of dragons. I highly recommend the audiobook. It is as well done as Scorpio Races with a story similar to Fire. WIN! (Review posts 9/14)

All Series, All Summer
On my Series Showdown tab, I posted 25 series that I started since I started blogging. These series all had books in that series already published waiting for me to read, but I didn’t own most of them. All count there were 50 books possible in the 25 series. So from June 1 to August 31…
- I read 19 : 50 books
- I caught up on 12 : 25 series
- I completed 3 series
- I started 7 new series over the summer *sigh*
This was a winning challenge. It made me clear a few books off my shelf. Mostly it will be nice to be caught up with all the new books in the series as they are released. I like getting excited about a much loved series book coming out, but it is a drag when you realize you need to read 3 more books before you get to it OR if you have to avoid all the buzz. I am super pumped that Amanda & Kelly are keeping it going. I can’t wait to see what they have cooked up.
Operation TBR: *the books that counted toward
Sponsored by Once Upon A Chapter. Library books don’t count either way. Freebies don’t count as bought, but they count as read. All bought and review request books count as bought.
NOTE: This was a library read kind of month. Which scored a WIN in the All Series, All Summer column, but a FAIL in the Operation TBR column.

OMG! You started 7 new series? Yikes! No wonder we never get to catch up. LOL!
I’m still on the fence about Seraphina. I’ve heard great things, but I’m not sure I could get into it. I’m not much of a fantasy reader.
Happy Weekend, Amy!
There is always another series.
I really liked Serphina, but it is most definitely fantasy.
Glad to hear you loved Seraphina. I have the book and will have to bump it up the list! Looks like you are doing pretty awesome with your reading goals- way to go!
Back to school. My book #s will slow down quite a bit.
