Austin Teen Book Festival 2012

It’s that time of year again, when Austin shows us how awesome it is. They are gearing up for their annual Austin Teen Book Festival. On September 29th, YA lovers will make their pilgrimage multiplying the city’s awesome rating. They have been warned to locate their ear plugs and bring all pets indoors to minimize the effects of high pitched squeeing.

Last year, I had high hopes of making it. Sadly, I couldn’t bring myself to miss my daughter’s soccer game. BUT this year, Sidney’s game is on Sunday. SCORE! So hopefully, we’ll both make it down to SQUEE!! In anticipation I combed my shelves for all the books I own, but haven’t read yet. OMG! This pile is scary in scope. I am going to do my best to hit all the authors and as many of the books as possible.

  • Unwind, Everlost & Everwild by Neal Shusterman
  • Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
  • 8 awesome books by Elizabeth Scott
  • Going Bovine by Libba Bray
  • Quarantine by Lex Thomas
  • Embrace by Jessica Shirvington
  • Girl of Fire and Throne by Rae Carson (not pictured)
  • Crossed by Ally Condie
  • The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch (not pictured)
  • The Gallagher Girls by Ally Carter
  • Firelight by Sophie Jordan (not pictured)
