Top Ten Books To Get in the Halloween Spirit…
Here is my TBR pile of Halloweenish Reads. I am hoping that a few of them put me in the mood for Halloween and Fall. I am aiming for curled up in a fleece blanket while the night rolls in earlier and earlier. Madly flipping pages trying to find out who did it or trying to see the main character to safety. I’m getting pumped just thinking about it.
- Deadtown by Nancy Holzner…demons
- Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost…Vlad
- This Dark Endeavor by Kenneth Oppel…Frankenstein
- Jekel Loves Hyde by Beth Fantaskey…monster
- The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey…monsters
- I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga…serial killer
- Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin…plague
- The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson…serial killer
- Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce…dark fairy tale
- The Diviners by Libba Bray…ghosts
Tell me what your favorite Halloweenish Reads are.

That’s two for Diviners and I have that one right here in my little hands! Good to know.
Here’s my Ten Ten Books to Get You in the Halloween Spirit. I hope you’ll stop in!
I think The Diviners will be read by quite a few with the haunting atmosphere around us.
I need to read I Hunt Killers! I didn’t put The Hunt by Alex Fukada (o) on my list but I do think that book is sufficiently creepy.!
I have The Hunt too. I can’t wait to read it after your review. You so need to read I Hunt Killers. It is up your alley. If you don’t have, I can ship mine to you very soon.
I have been seeing the Diviners pop up this week, and I didn’t realize it was a spooky one. Makes me more inclined to read it! And Sisters Red is a great choice. I think you’ll like I Hunt Killers too. Happy spooky reading!
Can’t wait to maybe finally get Sisters Red read. I love Jackson Pearce on twitter. I must love her in paper too.
Wow, Sisters Red looks really good. I hadn’t heard of it before. The Diviners is also sitting in my TBR pile – within view of my bed…at least twice a day I think “geeze I should read that soon!” May get my own fuzzy blanket and enjoy
I almost moved The Diviners to my bedside. But the ghosts might leak out before I’m ready for them.
I’ve only read one of those and I loved it so much I can’t believe I spaced on putting it on my own list, The Masque of the Red Death was AMAZING. I’ll definitely have to check out the rest of your list. :]
I can’t wait to get to it. It will be READ soon.
I need to read Masqye of the Red Death. It looks really good. Great list.
I haven’t read any of these yet either, but quite a few are on my reading list – like The Diviners and Red Death.
We both have quite a task a head of us…we better get reading.
YES! YESSSSSSSSS. I wish I could read I Hunt Killers and The Diviners again for the first time. So much win!
Loved Your Reviews. I just keep bumping of reads based on your reviews. WIN for me. No bad books anywhere in my sights.
yesssssssss. I hope you LOVE them!
I really need to read most of these..especially I Hunt Killers and The Diviners!!
Loving I Hunt Killers so far. It is so different from other YA. The closest thing I’ve read is The Body Finder series.
Just finished This Dark Endeavor. I really enjoyed it. I have so many on my TBR pile it is sad.
Now you have me really excited. My TBR is very disturbing and awesome.
i am very curious about the diviners b/c the only thing I’ve read of hers was Beauty Queens, which i imagine is VASTLY different…and I LOVED i hunt killers, such a superb book.
I’ve only read Beauty Queens, but look forward to seeing her range. Loving I Hunt Killers.
