The Zombie Apocalypse has been good to Sarah and David. Their marriage is better than ever. They communicate well, share responsibilities, and now, they’re starting a business. ZombieBusters-for all your zombie extermination needs.
There are lots of zombies and that means lots of customers…Except one of them doesn’t want the zombies dead, he wants them alive and ready for experimentation. Mad scientists make for difficult clients and this time, Sarah and David might have bitten off more than they can chew. (Source: Goodreads)
I was so happy to rejoin the Sarah and David and see them still together. They have made their way down to Arizona from Seattle. It’s winter and it is cold up north. They are also making a name for themselves as Zombie Busters. They pick up work from postings left for them at Sun Devil Stadium. It serves as the local area zombie-free zone.
Early on, you see a little wedge wiggling itself between David and Sarah. It really made me sad. It was about the idea of HOPE. Sarah has it and David thinks “why bother.” It seems little. You know married people don’t agree on 100% of things. But by the time they meet up with Dr. Barnes, a.k.a. Mad Scientist, it may could do some serious damage to their marriage.
Dr.Barnes was the sole survivor of a military lab. He thinks he has a cure for zombie-ism, but he needs some live ones…undead ones to test it on. I am going to stop here, because events start to unfold to rip our happy couple apart. There are twists and turns. I think I may have even cried once. Jesse really put my emotions and ninja skills (ya, my body dodges zombies in sync with her characters) through a workout.
I LOVE these characters. They are full of snark and Sarah has a mouth similar to mine. I’m not proud, just stating fact. They will have you laughing all the while hacking and blowing the heads off of zombies. If you’ve been married for a while, you definitely know that humor is a MUST and a little ass-kicking doesn’t hurt. They also sneak in a little tug on the heart-strings.
Sarah and David prove themselves as entrepreneurs for a New World. One that smells and lurches.

I like this idea- a humorous zombie series! And the marriage aspect is also something refreshing. I’m going to see if my library has it.
Quick & Fun. Watching how Surviving in a World of Zombies bring them closer together was fun & touching.
I LOVE this series!! I highly recommend it to everyone!
